Our very own Sunshine Committee, Kathy Whitwam, just lost her husband and best friend, Don Whitwam, on Wednesday, July 10th. Kathy and Don have a beautiful house in Woodinville and enjoyed sharing it with us S’no Jokers for numerous events. Don was a banker for many years, then changed to selling yachts which was his favorite thing to do. He lived on a 43 ft sailboat on Shilshole Bay before marrying Kathy. He liked to ski, hike, bike, and travel. Gary Gretencort has great memories of skiing with Don in Sun Valley. And everyone remembers Don’s kindness and caring. Kathy and Don traveled extensively all over the world, living the good life. Not only has Kathy lost someone dear to her, the whole S’no Joke Ski Club has lost someone very special. Every ski slope, hillside hike, social or other event Don's memory will linger and a smile will warm our faces as his laughter did our hearts.
