Last bike ride of the season????
Cycle along a river in a forest!
Thursday, October 20th 10:00am
Here's a beautiful ride along the Middle Fork of the Snoqualmie River. The road is paved. The distance is about 18 miles roundtrip, mostly flat with slight elevation gains. The ride continues until the pavement ends near the Middle Fork campground. We'll find a scenic spot to stop for snacks along the river. The paved road is only used for access to trailheads and campsites, therefore very low traffic.
Meeting time is 10:00 am at the Mailbox Peak trailhead. Parking is along the street, in the lower parking lot, and the parking lot further up the hill. A Discover Pass (or $10.00/day) is needed for parking at the trailhead.
Directions to trailhead: I-90 East to exit 34, 468th Ave NE. Drive about .5 miles to the SE Middle Fork Road. Turn right, taking the right fork where the road splits. Parking is in about 3 miles further. If all parking spots are full continue on until you find parking and let the group know where you are waiting.
Yes, we'll meet for after ride refreshments in North Bend. Cyclist's choice.
Rain cancels ride.
