Steamboat Rock hiking, camping, paddling, or swimming in Banks Lake!!!

September 22nd-24th (2 nights)

Imagine hiking, swimming, paddling, or whatever in the sunny side of the state and camping at the most beautiful state park camping area I have ever seen – in full view of Steamboat Rock in all its glory.

Your trip leader is reserving spot #307 in the Sage Loop of Steamboat State Park.  In the same row camp spots #305-309 are currently available as of this moment.  The cost is $30/night.  You will need to reserve your own camp spot here.

Here are the details:

Why:  Hiking in the fantastic desert scenery and lazing around in the lake.  We will do hikes like Steamboat Rock , round trip 3 miles with an elevation gain of 525 feet or Northrup Canyon & Wagon Road about 6 miles round trip and elevation gain of 1000 feet (if reopened after fire danger).  You can even watch a laser light show over the Coulee Dam!!!  And don't forget, swimming, floating, kayaking or whatever in Banks Lake right outside our campsites.

Trip Leader:   Julie Byington, 206-755-5987, jbyington7@comcast.net.

We will pick the day's hikes according to each person’s inclination along with water play days. Bring your own camping gear and food. We can work on group dinners if desired.
