YAKIMA RIVER FLOAT on Saturday with camping Friday-Sunday
When: Saturday 21 August 2021
Where: Put in at Bighorn Campground and take out at Roza Boat Launch
Saturday Meeting Place and Times:
- Meet at 10:00am at the Bighorn Campground on Canyon Road just pass MP22.This is where you will meet up with Don, your trip leader.
- Be sure to bring sunscreen, water toys, and BYOB.
- If camping also bring water, folding chairs, a camp table, and something to grill.
- Note:No pets please!
This is very a gentle river float on a Class 0 river (aka a beer float). Bring your own floating device such as an inflatable kayak, boat, inner tube, multi-person floating island, etc. Alternatively, you may rent one from our put-in spot at Bighorn.

Optional: Drive over Friday and camp out at Bighorn. Don plans on camping Friday and Saturday nights and returning to Seattle on Sunday. Campsites can be reserved by clicking the link below:

Please register at www.snojoke.org or email Don so we know how many to expect at the put-in!!! RAIN CANCELS – those registered will be notified by Thursday night should rain cancel.
Note: The Snojoke general liability insurance does not cover river rafting. All participants that register for this event are considered to be registering for camping only and not river rafting. Those choosing to float the river will be doing so at their own risk! Also, there will be no group dinner due to the Covid-19 virus. We will also limit close proximity to each other while floating the river.
