Coal Creek hike - Easy

Thursday, May 13th

Distance: 5.6 miles (Easy) 500 ft Ascent

10:15 am start time

Directions: take I-90 to Exit 13. Drive up the hill on Lakemont Boulevard about 3 miles.  Look for entrance to parking and the Red Town Trailhead on left side of road.

Red Town Trail head is named for the mining settlement of Red Town that was built in this area.  Red paint was used on most of the buildings.  From the trailhead parking lot, cross Lakemont Boulevard to a grassy meadow, follow a wide trail toward the sound of a splashing creek.

See you at the parking lot.  Dorothy & Jay Hart  Cell: Dorothy's 206-948-0848 or Jay's 206-949-1862
