July 4th, BBQ Social, Bike Ride, Greenbelt Hike and Neighborhood Fireworks Show
About this event
Multiple choices. Whether you're a hiker, a biker, or someone that just enjoys socializing, we look forward to having you join us for some 4th of July fun. The bike ride and hike will start at the same time, so choose your most appealing event. The BBQ Potluck social will begin shortly upon our return from our outdoor bike/hike excursions.
Let's start gathering around 3:00pm at the Hart's home to start the festivities
3:30pm BIKE RIDE on the Soos Creek Trail (out and back for a total of 12 miles). The trail is paved with a couple short hills to navigate. The South Trailhead is at the intersection of 148th Ave SE and SE 266th St. in Kent, WA 98042
3:30pm HIKE. Entrance to the Maple Hills/Cedar Creek Park trails is within walking distance from the Hart's home.
6:00pm POTLUCK DINNER/SOCIAL - Bring something to BBQ if desired. Hosts will have Sangria and hors d’oeuvres to share. Be respectful of neighbor's driveways when parking on the street.
9:30pm/dark FIREWORKS SHOW There is usually a fabulous neighborhood Fireworks Show, viewable from our backyard deck. * Better than the local city firework shows.

When you arrive you can use the name tags to say whether you'll be joining us for the HIKE along the Maple Hills/Cedar Creek trails, or for the BIKE ride on the Soos Creek trail. The trail head for Soos Creek is 5 miles from our home. If that doesn't fit into your schedule, COME join us for the Barbecue/Potluck social.
Be respectful of neighbor's driveways when parking on the street.
