The Olmsted 50 is a 5 section, 50 kilometer (31 mile) walk connecting several Seattle parks and green spaces designed by one of the Olmsted brothers in the early 1900’s.
Kate Pedersen will lead one section of the walk approximately every three weeks (on a Thursday at 2pm) from January 2024 through May 2024. She can accept 11 walkers to join her. Each section is 6-ish miles with no more than a 500 foot elevation gain. This is a moderate walk as it will be brisk and last close to three hours. She has a spot for happy hour picked out for each location and any members are welcome to join the happy hour without reservation. Please reserve your spot on the walk at least two days prior as she will need to coordinate drivers to bring us all back to where we started.
A little rain does not cancel. A DOWNPOUR DOES CANCEL AND WILL BE RESCHEDULED. Details of all walks, including start locations, will be emailed to registrants after registering.
Walk Five: May 23, 2024, 2pm | Stan Sayre’s Park to Rainier Beach Playfield | Happy Hour 5-ish at Columbia City Alehouse
